qualità e purezza dell'acqua frisia

Pure and natural like spring water

Hyposodic, diuretic, light: because Acqua Frisia is a quality water

Frisia water, brilliantly genuine

A gift of nature, bottled without alterations

Acqua Frisia is born in the province of Sondrio from natural springs in an uncontaminated alpine territory. The same characteristics with which it gushes out at the spring are preserved unaltered in the passage to the production line and can be found in the glass bottle, which helps to preserve them at their best: lightness, purity, and low fixed residue. The only substance added is carbon dioxide to make the water sparkling, in order to meet the tastes of consumers who love bubbles.

Thanks to its intrinsic properties, Frisia is a water with important benefits to the organism: it can stimulate diuresis, contribute to the correct functioning of renal activities, help the depurative functions and promote a correct hydration, helping to prevent hypertension and water retention.

Gurgling springs, born from the waters of the glacial basin, gush out among the mountains of the Central Alps.

Veins of pure water flow through the granite rocks of Valchiavenna, shaping and caressing them, as they flow impetuously down to the valley.

This is how Acqua FRISIA is born, pure, refreshing, inspiring, an authentic and Italian product, a sustainable project: brilliantly FRISIA!

The sources of Acqua Frisia in Valchiavenna

Microbiologically pure spring water

The springs of Acqua Frisia are located in Valchiavenna, at the end of northern Italy and of the province of Sondrio, in an area dominated by nature and mountains: we are in the heart of the Alps, surrounded by granite rocks and glaciers. Here, at an altitude of 430 meters (1410 ft) above sea level, the purest alpine waters come to the surface: the two springs in the town of Piuro produce the Frisia low-mineral water, while the Bernina Alta (641 m/2103 ft asl) and Bernina Basa (550 m/1804 ft asl) springs in Santa Croce di Piuro provide the Bernina water with minimal mineralization.

The Valchiavenna springs were discovered in 1867 and are carefully protected within a fenced area of about 45,000 square meters, in order to safeguard this authentic gift that nature gives to man. The natural mineral water gushes out microbiologically pure from the depths of the Alpine massifs with a temperature at the source of 12° C, free from any allergenic substance and with a sublime quality that is preserved - together with the organoleptic qualities of taste, smell, and color - up to the bottle.

How to recognize good and healthy water

Values and quality parameters of Frisia Water

What are the characteristics of a quality water? The information on the labels of the bottles, the result of chemical, physical and bacteriological analysis conducted by specialized institutes, illustrate the composition of the mineral water and determine its classification and quality. Here are the values and components that make Acqua Frisia a beneficial water, as well as a good one.

90 mg/L at 180° C

Water with low fixed residue

The fixed residue of water is the data that indicates its degree of mineralization and allows to identify the heavier waters. Thanks to its low fixed residue, Frisia water is a light oligomineral water, which contributes to the good functioning of the natural purifying processes of the organism and cooperates to the expulsion of toxins.

7.3

Pure water with a pH close to neutral

The pH measures the concentration of H+ ions dissolved into a liquid. The pH of drinking water intended for consumption is between 6.5 and 9.5: Frisia Natural Mineral Water has a pH of 7.3 at the spring, which is also maintained in the bottle in the case of natural water and is very close to the neutrality value (7). For this reason, Acqua Frisia is rightly included among spring waters.

0.30 mg/L

Water with little fluoride

The content of fluorides in water for human consumption must not exceed certain limits set by Italian regulations. The maximum concentration of fluoride in water is 1.5 mg per liter: with a value well below this threshold, Acqua Frisia is a water with a low fluoride content and particularly suitable as water for children and infants.

4.3 mg/L

Water with low nitrate concentration

The presence of nitrates in groundwater is a natural phenomenon, with usually very small percentages. A high concentration of these chemical compounds in drinking water can be a sign of possible contamination and environmental pollution. The nitrate content of Acqua Frisia is extremely low, much lower than the maximum limit for drinking water, confirming its purity.

2.9 mg/L

Low sodium water

Sodium is a very important element for the health and balance of our organism; however, an excessive consumption of sodium can cause water retention effects. Acqua Frisia is a water with a low sodium content and is therefore among the natural mineral waters indicated for low sodium diets: those, that is, with a concentration lower than 20 mg/L.

17.0 mg/L

Light water with little calcium

Water is a source of calcium, as this mineral occurs in nature. Waters rich in calcium are called calcic or heavy waters if they exceed the concentration of 150 mg/L: Acqua Frisia, with its low fixed residue, is a water low in calcium and therefore very light, with a low hardness.

57.0 mg/L

Oligomineral water with few bicarbonates

Among the values reported on the label of mineral and low mineral water there is also the data concerning the presence of bicarbonates, substances that usually come from the dissolution of rocks and from the infiltration of rainwater. With respect to the limit value that determines the obligation of the labeling "water containing bicarbonate", the concentration of bicarbonates in Acqua Frisia is very low.

3.0 mg/L

Water with low magnesium content

Acqua Frisia is not a magnesic water, that is, with a magnesium content higher than 50 mg/L. On the contrary, it is a water with little magnesium, with a concentration that however allows the body to enjoy the benefits of this mineral. Also, by virtue of this data, Acqua Frisia is confirmed as a light oligomineral water.
